-Use VCDS to clear your airbag light. (it will not turn off on its own) On to the horn button get yourself two strips of wiring approx 10 inches in length. I used 14 gauge wire. Strip a minimum of 1/2 inch coat off each wires end. Snip the ends off an old resistor. and intermingle the resistor prongs into the wire bundle.

Go to the dealership and find out WHY the airbag light is on. Assuming you don't have VAGCOM to find out what is throwing the code. It could be as simple as a broken clockspring or something more complicated. Don't ignore a light, you risk damage to your vehicle.

Cost me about $70 and I have reset my AB module 3 times and JUST reset a guy's AB on his Passat. I live in Minnesota and the temps in the winter get that cold every winter.
