Same for skiffs. Fishing itself as a major xpack feature is just quite pathetic. We don't know the balance on how the turtle damage is gonna turn out just yet but If I had to guess, It's going to be lower than your character's assuming you are using more than 2 buttons. Just treat the turtle as a coop mount not a combat mount.

I think what this shows is that it isn't only written feedback that ANet will ignore. I get that removing the cooldown completely even with tier 1 of the Turtle Pilot Booster was probably unintentional, especially as it wasn't documented, but there must be data from the game showing how much more use the turtle was getting/which maps it was getting used in, etc.

I think this is blown big time out of proportion. Me having a full time job was able to get the turtle mount within the first few days after the expansion release. Including finishing the story. The only thing people have a hard time on are the meta and the strike. Just wait in the map and a tag will group everyone one up for the meta.
In large group events, Turtles have large aoe radius. I mainly use the turtle to tag as many mobs as possible to get as many exp as possible. You don't need to spend all of your mortar to kill a single target. Spread it out instead. When I am commanding, it helps that I have someone drive me while I type in chat to give orders. Hate is a bit strong for me but the turtle mount brings essentially nothing to the table and can detract from the experience. Another example of the weakness of EoD as a whole. It does good cc and damage to gate in Drizzlewood, here hoping future living episodes have meta require more "sieging"

Imma be honest, I just unlocked the turtle last night as a new mostly solo player, and I am I very dissapointed that after doing the whole unlock process the turtle that I have has the guns locked off to me. At least let me hop in the back seat and shoot the guns while locking the mount down. In Gyala Delve, for example, you have to use Siege Turtles to break down walls and unfortunately, unlike Dragons End, there are no NPC-controlled ones that you can mount to break things down. The Strike mission is hard, with soo-wong 50 man team comped can do it, but for most people they dont want to waste there time on a dead meta, however the strike missions going to kill the casual players on getting a turtle, unless you dumb down the strike mission level difficulty, most dont do strike missions as casuals
